Created by architectural trio Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune, Widlund Home, located on the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic sea, appears out onto a mesmerizing vista of everchanging blue sky and water. Built to withstand the usually fierce climate — fogs and storms are widespread here — the home requires full advantage of the view whilst becoming a snug retreat when it clouds over. Inside, decor is minimal, maintaining the concentrate firmly on the atmospheric surroundings.
